About Markus Giesler
Markus Giesler is a consumer sociologist and ethnographer specializing in the study of dynamic market systems. He is an associate professor of marketing at York University's Schulich School of Business in Toronto and the founding director of the Big Design Lab.

Founded in 2015 by Markus Giesler and Ela Veresiu, the Big Design Lab is a nonprofit, membership-based organization dedicated to engaging business and political leaders with the theory and practice of market creation and customer experience design.
